I have described Rail Trails in previous reviews. Washington and Oregon are very progressive when it comes to recreational trails for hikers and bicyclists and the Rail Trails provide recreational opportunities for everyone. Most Rail Trails are flat, wide, and comfortable. Many trails are hundreds of miles long, winding through cities, along rivers and lakes and forests. This book describes many of those trails in detail. Rail Trails give us a place to hike or ride without any auto or motorcycle traffic. This book might just give you the incentive to take your family out for a safe adventure. I love this book, it was just what I needed. I've already taken my bike on several of the Oregon trails, and have plans for the near future to hit up some more. It's a great addition to my adventure plans.
